JAVA DEVELOPER (Mid/Senior) – Java | Spring Boot | Kafka | Microservices

Already building your IT career in Prague and looking for a project with more technical depth?

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to join a newly established strategic technology initiative within the Fixed Income Financing area of a large international organisation.

You will be working on backend solutions supporting inventory management and optimisation, while connecting multiple internal systems, platforms and data sources. The environment is built around distributed microservices, with Java, Spring Boot and Apache Kafka at the core of the technology stack.

This is an opportunity to work on business-critical systems where scalability, performance and engineering quality genuinely matter.

What you'll work on

You will design, develop and continuously improve backend solutions using:

• Java
• Spring Boot / Spring
• Apache Kafka
• Microservices architecture
• REST APIs
• Distributed systems
• SQL & NoSQL databases
• Docker / container technologies
• CI/CD and modern DevOps practices

You'll collaborate with engineers, architects, product teams and other specialists in an international technology environment, contribute to technical decisions and code reviews, and help build maintainable and scalable solutions.

Working language: English (You don't need to speak Czech.)

Requirements

You should have strong professional experience with Java and Spring Boot and be comfortable developing modern backend applications. 

Hands-on experience with Kafka, microservices and distributed systems will be particularly valuable. 

Experience with some of the following is an advantage: 

• Kubernetes 

• AWS, Azure or GCP 

• Service mesh technologies 

• Distributed caching 

• Angular or another modern JavaScript framework 

• High-performance or highly available systems 

• Financial services or other complex enterprise environments
