Senior IoT Hardware Engineer & Workshop Lead Location: Poprad | On-site

Position description

For an international technology company developing advanced IoT hardware for aviation and industrial applications, we are looking for a hands-on Senior IoT Hardware Engineer & Workshop Lead.

This role combines electronics engineering, prototyping, product industrialisation and technical team leadership.

What will you do?

• Build, test and improve IoT hardware prototypes

• Help move new products from prototype into repeatable production

• Work with PCBs, sensors, embedded electronics and wireless connectivity

• Troubleshoot technical and manufacturing issues and propose practical solutions

• Set up assembly procedures, testing processes and quality standards

• Oversee daily workshop and laboratory operations

• Support and mentor technicians and engineers

• Cooperate with suppliers on components and technical production challenges

• Support BOM management, component sourcing and supplier alternatives

• Work closely with product, software and engineering colleagues

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in electronics, embedded systems or hardware development

• Strong practical knowledge of electronic products, PCBs and hardware troubleshooting

• Experience moving products from prototype towards production

• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings

• Experience with diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters

• Familiarity with microcontrollers such as ESP32, STM32, Nordic nRF or similar

• Experience leading or coordinating technical teams, workshops or laboratories

• Good English communication skills

• Proactive, practical and solution-oriented mindset

Experience with IoT connectivity, 3D printing, CAD, production testing or manufacturing processes is an advantage.
