Senior IoT Hardware Engineer & Workshop Lead

Position description

For an international technology company developing electronic tracking and safety devices for the aviation and logistics industries, we are looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer who enjoys practical engineering and working with physical products.

The main goal of this role is to turn working hardware prototypes into reliable products that can be manufactured repeatedly and efficiently.

You will combine hands-on electronics engineering with responsibility for workshop activities, testing processes and technical coordination.

What will you do?

• Build, test and improve electronic devices and hardware prototypes.

• Take products from the prototype stage into small-scale and larger production.

• Identify technical problems and find practical solutions to make products easier to manufacture.

• Work with electronic components, PCBs, sensors and connected devices.

• Set up clear assembly instructions, testing procedures and quality checks.

• Organise daily workshop activities and support technicians and engineers.

• Troubleshoot issues during assembly, testing and production.

• Communicate with suppliers to solve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes.

• Work closely with hardware, software and product development colleagues.

Requirements

• • At least 5 years of practical experience in electronics engineering, hardware development or electronic product manufacturing.

  • Good understanding of electronic components, PCBs and hardware assembly.

  • Experience with hardware prototyping, testing and troubleshooting.

  • Ability to read electronic schematics and technical drawings.

  • Practical experience using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes or similar equipment.

  • Experience improving products or processes for manufacturing.

  • Ability to coordinate technical work and support other team members.

  • Communicative English and a practical, solution-oriented approach.
