What is changing the Czech labour market? Join the discussion at our HR breakfast in Prague

Recruitment, employment law, international employees, remuneration and the changes facing employers. Many different issues are shaping business decisions today. On 21 October, we will bring them together in one place in Prague – with people who deal with them every day.

The labour market is changing faster than companies can adapt to each individual development. New legislative requirements are emerging, manufacturers are looking beyond national borders for employees, companies are addressing pay and salary transparency, and when recruiting specialists, employers are increasingly competing for the same candidates.

Each of these issues has a very practical impact. On who you can hire. How much recruitment costs. How long it takes. What you need to comply with as an employer. And sometimes even on whether you can deliver your future business plans.

These are the topics we will explore at our professional HR Breakfast on 21 October 2026 at WorkLounge Příkopy in Prague.

What do employers need to know today?

We will focus on the issues we encounter every day at Synergie when working with companies and candidates.

We will look at what is currently happening in the Czech labour market, why more companies are increasingly competing for the same candidates in Recruitment and Executive Search, and what options employers have when the people they need simply cannot be found on the local market.

We will also address international employment, upcoming changes related to equal pay and the unified monthly employer reporting system.

These issues are closely interconnected. We will therefore focus primarily on what they mean collectively for companies that are recruiting, planning to grow or preparing for further changes.

One labour market. Different perspectives.

An important part of the event will be a panel discussion bringing together guests who view current developments in the labour market from different perspectives.

The panel will feature JUDr. Jiří Vaňásek, Senior Director of the Employment Section at the Czech Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs; Michal Macko, Managing Director of the French-Czech Chamber of Commerce; and Jakub Málek, Managing Partner at PEYTON legal.

Around one table, we will bring together the perspectives of government, businesses, employment law and recruitment practice. Connecting these viewpoints will allow us to discuss not only what is changing, but above all what these changes mean for employers in practice.

We also want to address situations where there is no single, simple answer.

When does it make sense to recruit employees from abroad? What will greater pay transparency mean for everyday HR practice? How is the competition for experienced specialists changing? And how can companies prepare for new requirements before they become an urgent problem?
